OUR MISSION
Caregiving is both joy and pure chaos. Moms and caregivers know both things can be true. The more we share these stories, the more we can make a difference.
BEAM illuminates the unseen corners of motherhood by shedding light on the diverse, authentic, and often untold experiences that shape a parent’s journey. We highlight the intersection of “both/and” as well as the multitudes that moms hold together each day.
Through our expert-led, interactive events and deeply resonant storytelling, we’re building communities of empathy and compassion. By bringing together all who are invested in seeing moms succeed - companies, advocacy organizations, and more - we are showing the world how our powerful stories can push public policy forward.

Remember that saying “it takes a village to raise a child”? The same is true with BEAM - it takes a nation to build a movement.
BEAM exists because a group of mothers and advocates excitedly yelled “Let us share our stories!” We’re asking for your financial support to host three BEAM Salons, expand & MORE with Amy Kugler, build an additional podcast and web series, and broaden the reach of our public/private partnerships with brands and advocacy groups.

WHAT’S A BEAM SALON?
BEAM convenes mothers from all age and stage of life to share the stories that are uniquely ours - whether or not those stories involve our children and family.
By sharing our unique experiences, our stories have a ripple effect. Individually, they can help other moms and caregivers feel belonging. Collectively, they can shape the policies that form our worlds so that we can put women - whether caregivers or not - front and center in global conversations.
These salons gather moms and caregivers from all walks of life to be inspired by stories of triumph and everyday life in the mess of motherhood. Each salon includes notable moms and experts to help us decode our unique experiences.
